The Splendid Symphony Soar

Our students were in awe of the enormous talent the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra possessed during their Jurassic Park rehearsal. Our students were fortunate to experience the Orchestra rehearse the famous score from the film Jurassic Park, composed by John Williams, whilst analysing the process of which they rehearse and perfect their technique and performance. The students were impressed by the magnitude of the orchestra, with over 100 musicians performing perfectly in sync, not only to their sheet music, but to the film being played on the gigantic screen in the background. The MSO staff were impressed by our students’ behaviour and energy and are excited to have them back in the future.

After the rehearsal, students ate lunch at the Botanical Gardens across from Hamer Hall, and ended the day exploring priceless and stunning artworks at the National Gallery of Victoria. Our students were so inspired after their cultural day in the city, and now appreciate the time and effort spent in artistic endeavours.

If you’re interested in watching the MSO play the orchestral score to a film, they will be performing Harry Potter in November. More information here:
